First prize is $1k in Disney gift cards, 2nd prize is Apple Watch series 9, and 3rd prize is Apple Air Pods. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and we appreciate the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, coworkers and community members who purchase tickets to help make this event a success! Drawing held at 12:00 on September 18 in the VO quad, and students who qualify will silly string teachers/staff at that time. Need not be present to win. Watch your child's backpack for tickets and information on Friday, August 23.

September 17 - 6 p.m. in library |  FIRST valley oak parent club meeting

Join us for our first Valley Oak Parent Club meeting of the school year! All room parents are requested to attend in order to meet our room parent coordinator and get additional information for the school year. Children are welcome, with coloring supplies provided. Meetings are 50 minutes or less! We will go over this year's budget and calendar, plus needs for our upcoming raffle and carnival events. Every meeting starts off with a principal's update from Mrs. Athwal as she shares goings on at the school that you won't want to miss. We hope to see you there! Future meetings mostly held on the third Tuesday of the month, always at 6 p.m. in the library. Please see the full calendar for dates.

October 18 4-8 p.m.  |  fall carnival

Our annual carnival is the biggest, funnest, most exciting event of the year for VOPC. Starting at 4 p.m. students can bounce the night away in giant inflatables, use tickets to play fun games, get their hair sprayed with color or faces painted, and participate in the fan favorite cake walk! Gators Smash Burgers, Tacos El Mandilon, Marcelino's Wood Fired Pizza, Wetzles pretzels, Kona Ice, Travelin' Toms Coffee, and Dippin Dots all available for purchase with 15% of proceeds coming back to our school. This year we will have our WildCub under 6 area once again, a designated space for children under 6 to enjoy age-appropriate inflatables, Bubble Play Time with Wild Child Adventures, and the lucky duck and lollipop pull game. Watch for more information and ticket/wristband pre-sales starting in mid September, as well as sponsorship opportunities. This is our can't-miss event that kids talk about all year long!

October 17-22 |  ONLINE SILENT AUCTION

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we couldn't make it happen without YOU! Huge thank you to the families and businesses that donate items and gift cards, create baskets, and bid on all the exciting inventory that our team puts together each year. If you or a business you know is able to donate goods or services, please bring your donation to the front office any time before October 4. Contact silent auction chair Bryttni Luna at vopcsilentauction@gmail.com with questions! Donations are tax deductible, federal tax ID 20-2439388. Watch for more information in late September and get ready for your chance to bid on everything from themed baskets to luxury goods, Pokemon cards, VIP parking space, fun experiences with VO teachers, and more.

DECEMBER 10-12 |  HOLIDAY STORE

This non-fundraiser event is put on by a generous parent out of the goodness of their heart so students can shop affordable gifts for friends and family during the holiday season. Classes will shop by appointment first, with the store being open to the public after all classes have had a chance to shop. Watch for more information and class shopping schedule in late November. All items between $1-$15 with most items under $5 and not sold at a profit.

DECEMBER 17 |  STAFF COOKIE CELEBRATION

Each year we treat our VO faculty and staff to a delicious cookie buffet with take-home boxes so they can enjoy their treats at school and at home with their families. Thanks to successful fundraising at silent auction and raffle, last year VOPC was able to add a mobile coffee cart for teachers to enjoy at this event and it was a huge hit! We hope to be able to do that again this year. We will be collecting signups to donate homemade or purchased baked goods for this event in the month of December. Watch for a Google form link and more information or contact us with questions. This is a VO faculty fan favorite that brightens the holidays for our teachers and staff!

april 4 6:30-8:30 pm (6-6:30 sensory friendly) |  mother son event

More information on this event will be coming out as we confirm a committee lead! We are hoping to host something outdoors this year that gives our mothers and sons a chance to play together and enjoy meeting up with other Valley Oak families. This is a non-fundraiser event with tickets typically costing about $20-$25 per family to cover event expenses.

May 2 6:30-8:30 pm (6-6:30 sensory friendly) |  father daughter dance

More information on this event will be coming out as we confirm a committee lead! This outdoor dance for dads and daughters is a VO community favorite. It is a non-fundraiser event with tickets typically costing about $20-$25 per family to cover event expenses.

May 5-9 ALL WEEK |  TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

During teacher appreciation week, our VO family comes together to show our teachers just how much they mean to us! On the Sunday before the week kicks off, all teacher doors are decorated by parent volunteers. Last year due to successful fundraising, VOPC was able to do more to celebrate our teachers at the school level to take some of the stress away from room parents, and we hope to be able to do that again this year with a coffee cart and danishes on Monday, teacher lunch from Colorado Grill on Wednesday, and dessert food truck on Friday. This is a big week on campus and we truly appreciate the dedicated room parents, helpers, and VOPC volunteers who help make the magic happen!
